This very pretty cottage and barn lie at the end of a quiet road through the forest and offer real peace and seclusion. THe house is perched 350 feet above the River Lot .Thus giving gives spectacular west facing views of the river and steeply wooded valleys. These views can be enjoyed from any four of the terraces as well as from the pool terrace surround.

The house has thick granite walls, tear shaped local roof slates and inglenook fireplace all typical of the region. It has been sensitively modernised, retaining old oak beams, sweet chestnut wood floors and old French furniture. All rooms give superb valley views. Quality furniture and furnishings make this a very comfortable cottage retreat.

The barn is 50 meters from the house and has been converted into a spacious and comfortable fully furnished and self contained alternative to the house or as an annexe to it. Built into the side of the hill, it has two levels both having access to terraces through French windows. A large oak table can seat eight indoors as an alternative to al fresco meals.

The large garden has flowering shrubs and shady seats with views over the valley. There are stone built barbecues, together with terrace furniture and sun shades for both the house and barn.


The swimming pool is behind the barn with great valley views and comfortable patio furniture. The area has a fence and gates for safety.

Ancient tracks contour the natural woodlands giving miles of walking and the chance of seeing a wide range of wild life. The old market town of Entraygues-sur-Truyere is a 15 minute drive away.
